It was a uniting of the feline variety when Perth Wildcats headed to local basketball club, Cockburn Cougars to train with the U10 Girls team.

As part of our local community, the Cockburn Cougars were awarded the opportunity as part of the Hawaiian community program that partners with the reigning NBL championship team.

To get them warmed up for their usual training session, the team took the opportunity to shoot some hoops with players Shawn Redhage and Corban Wroe as well as get some pro-baller tips to give them an edge for their first game for the season.

“The clinic run by the Perth Wildcats players and coordinated by Hawaiian was fantastic. The U10 girls who participated had fun during the activities and were engaged for the whole session. It was also a great opportunity for them to meet their heroes.” said operations manager at Cockburn Basketball Association, Graeme Pratt.
