Four lucky schools were able to explore the world class Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research thanks to their schools local Hawaiian owned shopping centres.
Finding themselves immersed into the real world of medical research, each class spent time behind the scenes in a functioning laboratory, as well as checking out all of the latest scientific tools and equipment as used by Perkins medical research scientists in the Lotterywest Bio Discovery Centre.
Groups awarded with this fantastic opportunity included;
- Year 6 - Rostrata Primary School, thanks to Melville Plaza
- Year 7 - Swan Christian College, thanks to Hawaiian’s Bassendean
- Year 6 - South Ballajura Primary School, thanks to Noranda Shopping Village
- Year 3/4 and 5/6 - Victoria Park Christian School, thanks to The Park Centre in East Victoria Park
