In partnership with the Perth Wildcats, Hawaiian recently delivered a community skills clinic with Wildcats players to Melville Primary School. Nineteen students enjoyed a skills clinic with the Wildcats NBL MVP Bryce Cotton and 2016 NBL Rookie of the Year and recent signing, Nicholas Kay. The clinic featured a variety of drills and teambuilding exercises which were eagerly completed by the students. The 1 hour session finished off with player signings and questions from the students.
Melville Primary School is an independent Public School catering for students from Kindergarten to Year 7. Located near Hawaiian's Melville, the school is focused on holistic and inclusive teaching to ensure the needs of all children in the school community are met. Through a long standing community partnership with the Perth Wildcats, Hawaiian delivers skills clinics with Perth Wildcats players to local schools around Hawaiian's suburban shopping centres. The partnership includes other community activities. The most well-known being the Halftime with Hawaiian experience. Where one lucky school or basketball club will play in front 15,000 wildcats fans at RAC arena.
