Hawaiian Invites People to ‘Nominate a Neighbour’
The September 2024 Western Australia Cost of Living Survey Report highlights that 73% of people ranked ‘cost of living’ among their top three concerns, with 51% having to reduce basic necessities, including food quantity and nutrition. As the festive season approaches, it can be particularly challenging for those already doing it tough.
Together with the people from its communities, WA property group Hawaiian, is aiming to spread some cheer through its Nominate a Neighbour initiative.
Now in its second year, Nominate a Neighbour encourages people in the community to help identify those who could do with a helping hand.
Each recipient will be gifted with a hamper filled with delicious food, gift cards and other goodies, hand-packed and personally delivered by the Hawaiian team – just in time for the holidays.
Sandra Holloway, GM of Marketing and Partnerships said Hawaiian is anchored in the neighbourhoods it serves through its network of neighbourhood centres and its team witnesses firsthand the struggles faced by people in its communities.
Ms Holloway said, “Being part of our communities means looking out for one another, especially during the festive season. We know that many people are doing it tough, and we want to help.
Everyone from Hawaiian gets involved in Nominate a Neighbour. From packing the hampers to delivering them, it is such a rewarding and humbling experience for our team to witness the surprise and joy we can collectively bring to people.
We are encouraging people to help us with nominations so together we can show our support and care, hopefully bringing a little more joy to those who need it this holiday season.” Ms Holloway added.
Hawaiian’s Nominate a Neighbour will be open from Monday, 11th November until Sunday, 1st December 2024.
